Rusticator #4 ( The Weight )

24.625" scale, 24 frets, 2 humbuckers.
Body is butternut, with a weathered beech top.
Neck is red maple, with a persimmon fretboard.
Control plate and trussrod cover are made from
the dial face of a produce scale. Tailpiece is an
antique cast iron drawer pull, and knobs are
two halves of a wooden thread spool.

Rusticator #3 ( Kelvinator )

25.5" scale, 22 frets 1 HB/1 single coil.
Body is salvaged hickory, with an arched top made
of american chestnut.
Neck is black walnut, with a persimmon fretboard.
Tailpiece is made from the nameplate from a
refrigerator, and the pickguard is aluminum, from
the inside of a walk in freezer unit.

25.5" scale, 22 frets, HB-sized P-90/single coil
Body is yellow poplar, with weathered cypress top.
Neck is hard maple, with a honeylocust fretboard.
Tailpiece and neck pickup surround are made from
an antique brass icebox hinge.

The first of the rusticators, evolved from the privycaster,
with a weathered cypress top on a sassafras back.
Neck is hard maple with a persimmon fretboard.
Pickguard and control cover are hammered copper with a
blue-green patina.

This one now resides at my Mother's house in Rhode Island,
And is often played onstage by Mike Coletta, a local
musician/songwriter.
